Hi April.I collect hippos and found this pattern on bittersweet. I then saw you question about the instructions for the snout. How did you manage to sort it out? I just don't understand it. I'd really like to crack on but tearing my hair out. Would really appreciate your input. Many thanksTracey
Off the top of my head, if I recall correctly, you crochet to the end then flip it upside down and crochet along the bottom of the first row.
Ok I went and looked at the pattern. It says With an F hook, Ch9, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc1 into next 6 ch, sc3 into last st. Continuing around, sc1 into back posts of next 6 st, sc2 into last st (18 sts)You literally do THAT. Continue AROUND. You just go around the "corner" so to speak crocheting in the bottom of the first chain.
